Vincennes Man Wanted for Burglary and Theft Apprehended by WPD

At 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning, Washington Police officers initiated a traffic stop at West National Highway and Southwest Second Street.  The driver, wearing a white hoodie and white sock hat fled on foot from the officers.  The driver, later identified as 20 year old Cody Davis of Vincennes, was seen behind a house in the 200 block of Dewey Avenue.  Officers called in a WPD K-9 unit to help track Davis.  Davis led officers in a pursuit through the southwest section of Washington for over an hour before being taken into custody near MacAllisters around 2:30 a.m.   Davis was wanted on a Knox County warrant for Theft and Burglary.  He now faces four counts of Resisting Law Enforcement in Daviess County.  Davis is being held in the Security Center.  No bond was set.
