Weekend crashes result in some injuries

A Friday night crash resulted in injuries to two drivers.  At 6:22-pm, 25-year-old Tyler Bagley of Washington was driving a ’98 Ford F150 and was turning left at State Road 57 and Cumberland Drive in south Washington.  He said the lights from another vehicle headed west had blinded him as he was making the turn.  Accident reports say he turned into the path of a northbound ’04 Nissan driven by 60-year-old Robert Wildman of Washington.  A head on collision occurred.  Bagley was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes with injuries while Wildman was flown by Air Evac to St. Mary’s in Evansville.

-There was a car/deer crashes reported on I69 at the 59 mile marker near Washington last night at 7:43-pm.  Also on State Road 57 on Sunday morning north of Washington there was a car/deer crash.

-Authorities investigated a Red Ford Ranger under water at the Elnora Access Sight last evening.  The incident was reported at 5:40-pm.  No one was in the vehicle which will be retrieved today.

Two vehicles were totaled in a Sunday night crash in Dubois County.  It happened on 231 just south of 1000 south at 10:45-pm. The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office says that 23-year-old Daniel Bowling of Dale was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion, and 27-year-old Delea Graham of Chrisney in a 2006 Sebring were both south on 231.  Bowling was behind Graham and tried to pass and ran off the left side of the road and hit a guard rail.  Several of the guardrail’s posts were sheered. The Fusion continued traveling off the road before coming back on and hitting Graham’s vehicle in the left side.  Both cars then skidded south on 231 and caame to rest in the road.  Both drivers and Graham’s infant child were taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.
