Three people were jailed in Martin County Tuesday when state police and parole officers conducted a parole search.
Authorities went to the home of 47-year-old Darren Bruce Stone on Ivy Lane in Shoals just before 11-am where. They were met at the door by 32-year-old Julie Lents who said she and 20-year-old Katie D. Stone-Payne were the only ones there. After a sweep, Mr. Stone was found hiding in a shower behind a shower curtain.
While there, officers say the saw a .22 caliber handgun, marijuana roaches and drug paraphanlia in plain sight in the living room. A search warrant was obtained and served and more paraphernlia as well as marijuana and meth were found.
All three face various possession, nuisance and other charges at the Martin County Jail.
