Mike Steiner is President of the state prosecuting attorneys

Martin County Prosecutor Mike Steiner, was elected President of the Association of Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys at the annual winter conference.
In a statement released Sunday,  Steiner says two major issues face Hoosier citizens and prosecutors, the comprehensive criminal code revision now under way in the General Assembly, and ephedrine.
Steiner notes that there were 1808 meth lab seizures in Indiana last year, He believes the state could reduce the meth lab problem by making ephedrine, which is a key ingredient of methamphetamine, a prescription durg.
Steiner says he knows the drug compaines will put up a fight, but the health and safety of Indiana's citizens, in particular our children, should come first.
