INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana says it will proceed with its lawsuit seeking to block Governor Mike Pence’s order barring state agencies from helping with the resettlement of Syrian refugees. Pence said Tuesday that he wouldn’t stop the distribution of federal aid to Syrian refugees once they are settled in the state. But ACLU attorney Ken Falk said Wednesday that Pence’s statements are at odds with the ACLU’s understanding of the case.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta Rush has ordered the Indiana Tax Court to begin implementing electronic filings starting next month. The order signed Wednesday means that all appellate courts in Indiana will accept electronically filed documents starting in January. Supreme Court Justice Steven David and Court of Appeals Judge Paul Mathias lead the e-filing initiative.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A $30,000 grant from Eli Lilly will be used to fund 100 new prescription drug disposal sites in Indiana. The Yellow Jug Old Drugs program provides participating pharmacies with collection jugs and ongoing disposal services. Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller says encouraging safe drug disposal is a key goal of the Indiana Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Task Force.
