Three people were injured in a one vehicle crash Sunday on State Road 56 in Dubois County west of County road 325 East.

27-year-old Lindsay Quinn of Dubois was driving an ’06 Ford Focus westbound and said she overcorrected around a curve.  She lost control and slid off of the south side of the road.  The car went airborne down and embankment and hit the ground in a cornfield.  The car then overturned several times before coming to rest on the passenger side.

Three people in the vehicle were taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Quinn had minor head pain, a passenger, Shannon Evans had back and neck pain and an unnamed juvenile passenger had minor back pain.

The Dubois County Sherriff’s Department says seatbelts were not in use which contributed to the injuries.  The investigators also said that cell phone use by the driver and going to fast for the weather conditions were factors in the accident.
