Epsom High School

Epsom High School. The first school in Epsom was a log cabin built in 1846 which was later replaced by a two-room, two-story brick building. In 1909, a larger building (which can be seen on the left of this photo) was built, but that building would be outgrown as well, and the final, larger building was built in 1924, with indoor plumbing, six classrooms, an assembly room, and a gymnasium. Students continued attending Epsom school until 1968, although the high school had been discontinued many years prior. Courtesy of Daviess County Historical Society. Visit them for more information.
