This building was Ellis Dyer’s store in Glendale. Mr. Dyer was one of the “peddlers” who ran a store on wheels in the period surrounding World War II. He had an old school bus, painted gray, and hauled not only groceries but hardware and clothing and shoes in his mobile store. He retired in 1969. Courtesy of Daviess County Historical Society.
