A view of the Circuit Court Room at the Daviess County Court House, Washington, Indiana

The Courthouse was opened in 1929. Severely damaged by a fire in 1985, the courtroom was refurbished and made into two courtrooms, one for the circuit court and one for the superior court. The beautiful mural above the Judge’s bench, depicting Abraham Lincoln as a young man in the Hoosier wilderness, was also severely damaged but could not be restored.
