A major county road project in Daviess County has received national recognition.
The Washington Times Herald is reporting that Daviess County Road 900-East has garnered attention from the American Council of Engineering Companies. They presented an award for Engineering Excellence to the county and the Lochmueller Group, which was the engineering firm on the road improvement project.
900-East, of course is known as the Odon/Cannelburg Road locally and is still being worked on as Phase 3 is about to finish up. So far, over $27 million has been spent to widen the road and add turn and buggy lanes. The project also recently received accolades from the Indiana Department of Transportation.
