A popular Dubois County meat producer is voluntarily recalling its Hickory Smoked Pork in BBQ sauce.  The Merkley and Sons product was sold at stores in Dubois, Gibson, Crawford, Perry, Spencer, Warrick, Vanderburgh and Harrison Counties.   Merkely products are available at Hometown IGA stores in Loogootee and Princeton, Priceless Food stores in Washington, and Holiday Foods in Jasper just to name a few.

The recalled product comes in 32 and 64 ounce refrigerated packs with a red label with the Merkley Quality Meats logo.  The company says the produce could have a soy allergen which is not listed on the label.

Meanwhile, Some five-pound bags of Pillsbury Unbleached All Purpose Flour sold nationwide may be contaminated with salmonella, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The bags have a best-by date of April 19 and April 20, 2020.

No one has gotten sick so far, but the USDA says that if you own the flour, you should throw it away or take it back to the store for a refund.
