Police Reports

The Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a natural gas leak east of Washington yesterday morning.  US 50 at 350-East was shut down for a time.  Vectren worked quickly to clamp the damaged gas line while the local fire department stood by for fire protection. There were no injuries.  The roads were reopened shortly after the repair was made.

-A motorist hit an REMC power pole breaking it. That happened near Plainville last night and was reproted at 11:25pm.

-One person complained of knee pain after two vehicles collided yesterday afternoon. Authorities were called at 12:18-pm to 57 and Walnut.  No one went to the hospital.

-Police investigated  burglary reported an apartment on Southeast 4th yesterday morning.

 -Russell E. Bandy, 28 of Spencer was arrested by state police in Daviess County overnight.  He’s charged with Operating While Intoxicated with Greater than .15% and with a prior and for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
