Roger L. Williams, 55, of Alfordsville passed away on Friday February 1, 2019 in Daviess County, Indiana.
He was born on September 27, 1963 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Virgil “Pat” and Phyllis (Shelton) Williams.
Roger was a member of the Alfordsville Christian Church. He was an outdoors man, a Barr- Reeve sports fan, an avid hunter, and loved to spend time with his family, grandchildren, a great niece and nephew, and his dog “Scamp”.
Roger was a member of the National Wild Turkey Confederation, and the NRA.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Virgil and Phyllis, an infant daughter Stephanie, and brother- in – law Greg Taylor.
Roger is survived by his daughter Michelle (Cameron) Sherfick of Montgomery, his grandchildren; Nathanial, Brennan, and Adira Sherfick, his sister, LaRita Taylor of Jasper, his nieces; Brittney (Adam) Beier, Haley (Stevie) Cummins, several cousins, and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2019 at 11:00 A.M at Alfordsville Christian Church with Jason Denton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2019 from 4:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, and again on Wednesday on February 6 from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Barr- Reeve Scholarship Foundation.
