Julianne R. Myers, 72, of Vincennes

Julianne R. Myers, 72, of Vincennes, went to be with the Lord, at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was born Oct. 31, 1946, in Vincennes, to Earl and Rose (McCarty) Snyder Jr.
Julianne retired from Vincennes University as chairman of the reading department. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Washington, where she had served as an elder and a member of the Presbyterian Women. Her other memberships included the Indiana Retired Teachers Association and the Knox County Retired Teachers Association. Julianne graduated from Fritchton High School and was a part of the Friday Eagletts lunch group.
Those surviving are a daughter, Julie “Beth” Myers of Vincennes; a stepdaughter, Christy Hinnefeld and her husband Russell of Seymour; a sister, Sara Hutchens and her husband Alan of Vincennes; her stepgrandchildren, Christopher and Albert Hinnefeld; her step great-grandchildren, Lucas and Stevie Hinnefeld; along with many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and her husband, Thomas A. Myers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Goodwin Funeral Home, Vincennes, with Rev. Cheryl Thorne officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Westminster Presbyterian Church or to the Fritchton Alumni Scholarship Fund.
