Michael Todd Powell, 24, of Washington, IN passed away Friday, January 18, 2019. Born June 18, 1994 in Evansville, he was the son of the late Ronald R. and Tina Louise (Church) Powell. He attended Washington High School and was of Christian faith. Michael was a proud new father and he loved his son beyond measure. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping with his family and playing video games. When he was younger, he enjoyed horseback riding with his parents and playing football through the YMCA. Michael worked several different jobs. Most recently he worked at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts and he loved helping people with their car issues. He had a big heart and would help anyone when he could. He will be missed by everyone that truly knew him. He is survived by; a Son, Weslee Powell; a Brother, Ethan Church; Maternal Grandparents, Alvin and Diana Skomp; Aunt and Uncle, Tana (Clayton) Scott; Uncle and Aunt, Todd (Michele) Church; his Companion, Kristen Brown; and four Cousins, Ty and Sierra Church, and Matthew and Brianna Scott. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Paternal Grandparents, Pete and Lorene Powell and a Cousin, Joshua Church. Services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Gill Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
