A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through 7 tomorrow morning for Daviess, Knox, and Martin Counties.  For Pike and Gibson Counties, the Winter Storm Warning is in effect through 1-am Eastern.  All areas could see some additional accumulations mixed with a bit of ice accumulation.

You’re advised to stay off roads and postponing travel. If you can’t, go slow, have an emergency kit in your vehicle, and keep your cell phone charged.

The Daviess County Emergency Management Agency says Daviess County Highway trucks are on full call out.  They say please slow down and be safe, don’t crowd the snow trucks and graders, that could be deadly.

Washington City crews are also out battling the conditions for motorists.

The Indiana Department of Transportation’s Vincennes District reports 100 drivers reporting district wide last night.  Every route takes 2 to 3 hours to complete with salt assisting in the melting between the passes. The brine treatment INDOT says is expected to help keep roads from refreezing, but patrols will be out spot treating potential slick spots.

Some parts of the listening area were under a Travel Advisory according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.

Dave Bursten with the Indiana State Police says don’t travel, but if you do be careful

Again give yourself extra time today to get to where you’re going.  Call ahead to be sure your event is happening or your destination is open.
