Lloyd Leon ‘Moe’ Morgan, 75, of Odon, Indiana, formerly of Flat Rock and Albertville, Alabama, was peacefully called home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Evansville, Indiana. He was born in Trenton, Georgia on February 5, 1943 to James Richard and Jesse Ira (Crane) Morgan. Leon married his loving wife Edna (Westmoreland) Morgan on July 5, 1966.

Leon retired in 2005 as a Grader Operator for Jackson Paving. He spent many years doing various jobs at several coal mines before retiring. He loved to fish, tell stories and enjoyed raising animals on his mini-farm. Leon never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends. Nothing made him happier than being called Uncle Leon, he treasured spending time with them, and anything with his grandsons.

Family left behind to cherish Leon’s memory are: his wife, Edna Morgan; one daughter, Amanda (Todd) Woodruff of Odon; grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon and Riley Woodruff; two brothers, Roy (Janice) Morgan and Malcolm Melvin (Wanda) Morgan; three sisters, Jane Adkins, Wanda Crane and Pat Morgan; sisters-in-law, Barbara Summerlin, Lodema (John) Evans and Jenny (Billy) Palmer; thirty-five nieces and nephews, that he loved dearly.

Leon was preceded in death by: his parents; mother-in-law, Viola Westmoreland; brothers, Malcolm Morgan, Troy Morgan, Talmadge Morgan and Leonard Morgan; sisters, Katherine Morgan and Vinita Ann Morgan; brothers-in-law, Tommy Summerlin and Dorvin Guffey; sister-in-law, Geraldine Guffey.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 PM EST until 6:00 PM EST, with a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM EST on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Elnora Christian Church in Elnora, Indiana, with Brother Richard Smith officiating. A Celebration of Life is also scheduled for 2:00 PM CST until 6:00 PM CST with a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM CST on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at East Brow Baptist Church in Flat Rock, Alabama with Brother Charles Smith officiating. Leon will be laid to rest in the Morgan Family Cemetery in Trenton, Georgia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elnora Christian Church in Elnora, Indiana, East Brow Baptist Church in Flat Rock, Alabama or Dade County High School Football Team in Trenton, Georgia.
