Jasper City Councilman Dean Vonderheide is now the city’s new mayor.
Vonderheide was chosen by a precinct committee to take over the reins from Terry Seitz who resigned to take a job with newly elected US Senator Mike Braun of Jasper.
Vonderheide will assume the Mayor’s post January 7th.
The precinct committee now needs to fill Vonderheide’s council seat.
