From the Washington Street Department:
The Washington Street Department is finishing collecting leaves in Area 6 and will be moving to Area 1, this morning. Area 1 is east of State Road 57 and north of the railroad tracks.
And the Washington Mayor’s Office has announced that all Washington City Offices and Departments will be closed Monday and Tuesday, December 24 and 25. County offices will also be closed both days. In the City of Washington, there will be no trash pick-up and the City bus will not be in operation on either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Washington residents with regular trash pick-up on Monday should have their trash ready by 7:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21. Those Washington residents who have regular trash pick-up on Tuesday, should have their trash ready for pick up by 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26. Any Washington resident with questions concerning trash pick-up over the Christmas holiday’s may contact the Street Department.
