Joan R. Long, 91, of Wheatland, IN, passed away December 16, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Joan had retired from First Federal, in 1990, after 35 years. She had previously worked at JC Penney. She was a 1945 graduate of Lincoln High School. Joan was a member of the Wheatland Christian Church, and was a 50 year member of the Wheatland / Washington Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Tod Long and his wife, Judy, of Washington, IN, Ruth Etta Hunter and her husband, Bob, of Vincennes, IN, Dan Adams and his wife, Cindy of Mulberry, IN, Charles
Adams and his wife, Joni, of Indianapolis, IN, Tracy Henry and her husband, J.R., of Wheatland, IN, and Michael Tevault; 12 great-nieces and nephews; 14 great-great-nieces and nephews; and several cousins. She was preceded by her husband, Fred Long, Jr. whom she married November 12, 1955 and who passed away December 22, 1997, and a brother, Larry Tevault.
Friends may visit with Joan’s family from 9:00 – 11:00 on Saturday, at the Wheatland Christian Church. Her funeral will begin at 11:00 on Saturday, at the Church.
