Timothy D. McDaniel, 69, passed away at 4:00 am on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Tim was born on August 21, 1949 in Carbondale, IL the son of James and Lorene (Davis) McDaniel. He married Linda Riester on February 16, 1985 and she preceded him in death on December 10, 1997.
Tim had worked in maintenance for the Washington Housing Authority. He loved his grandchildren and his dogs. He also loved to fish and was a founding member of the 20th Century Chevy Car Club.
Survivors include his children, Jason Helm and his wife Rebecca of Germany, Rachael Riester and Taylor Waller of Washington, Leslie Morgan and her husband Nathan of Washington; sister, Jane Mattingly and her husband Guy of Washington; grandchildren, Kiera Waller, Kaleb Waller, Marli McDaniel, Silas Morgan, Felix Helm, Leonie Helm and Finian Helm. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda McDaniel and brother, Robert McDaniel.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be celebrated from 4-8 pm on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street.
