A Jasper man was jailed Sunday for Rape, Criminal Confinement, Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, battery with a Deadly Weapon and Strangulation.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest was the result of a multi-agency investigation. Boonville Police contacted Dubois County authorities when a woman reported being assaulted in Dubois County. The woman was taken by a Boonville officer to a Warrick County Emergency Room for treatment. Injuries were assessed and documented and the investigation led to a search and arrest warrant. Isaac Stewart of Jasper was arrested on the charges Sunday morning and was being held at the jail in Jasper without bond.
The investigation continues.
