You’ll have two chances this month to get better acquainted with one of Indiana’s natural gems, Hoosier National Forest.

Hoosier National Forest will host two “It’s All Yours” open houses on Friday, Nov. 16.

Members of the US Forest Service will be on hand for two hours to answer your questions about fall and winter activities in the Forest, including hunting, fishing, and hiking. Kids can also receive a Junior Wilderness Ranger activity book and work on their badge.

The first open house will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. (EST) at the Brooks Cabin at Deam Wildness on SR 446 south of Bloomington.

The second open house will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. (EST) at the Indian-Celina Recreation Area South Slope Campground. It can be accessed from Tower Ridge Road, off State Highway 446, south of Bloomington.
