Rosalie Riggins, 86, of Loogootee passed away at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at The Villages of Oak Ridge in Washington.
She was born February 11, 1932 in Bramble, Indiana to the late Ray and Coy (Fields) Beasley. The
Rosalie loved to quilt, crochet, and took pride in taking care of their home, garden and farm. She also enjoyed playing euchre and bingo.
She was an avid sports fan and followed her children and grandchildren’s sporting events throughout the Midwest.
Rosalie was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the St. Joseph’s Alter Society, where she was active in the St. Joseph Catholic Church community. She also was a past member of the Martin County Homemaker Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Coy Beasley; granddaughter, Mallory Riggins; brother, Tony Beasley.
Rosalie is survived by her husband Kelly Riggins of Loogootee, her children, Mark (Tammie) of Murray, KY, Diane (John) Vaupel of Loogootee and Jim (Lisa) Riggins of Bloomington; grandchildren, Chelsea Riggins, Andrea and Ryan Vaupel, Ben (Hanna) Riggins and Clay Riggins; sister, Liz (Terry) Bordenet of Lafayette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home and Friday, October 12, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
