Shannon Jewel Wagler, 6, of Loogootee, peacefully passed away in her parent’s arms at Peyton Manning Hospital on Friday, September 7, 2018.
She was born November 23, 2011in Washington, Indiana to Darrell and Becky (Graber) Wagler.
Shannon was a 1st grade student at Mt. Nebo Mennonite School. Shannon’s family is so grateful she was able to enjoy 8 days of the 1st grade. She loved going to school. Her biggest joy in life was meeting new people and she never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by three cousins, Michael Stoll, Jennifer Graber and Nathan Knepp.
Shannon is survived by her parents, Darrell and Becky Wagler; sisters, Janet Leann, age 17, Bethany Faith, age 15, Sharilyn Grace, age 12 and Stephanie Mast, age 21. Stephanie lived with the Wagler family as she taught at Mt. Nebo Mennonite School. Shannon was very proud of her (big sister) and loved to introduce her to everyone.
She is also survived by her grandparents, David and Rosanna Graber and Henry and Viola Wagler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at First Mennonite Church in Montgomery. Burial will follow in Mt. Nebo Mennonite Cemetery in Newberry, Indiana.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, September 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Mennonite Church in Montgomery.
