Turkeys, antiques, homecoming, chandeliers & huge jackpot highlight this weekend

It’s a big busy week for Daviess County Tourism this week..

         The Turkey Trot Festival kicks off Thursday and runs thru Sunday at the Montgomery Ruritan Park. Season passes are on sale  now for all four days and concerts for only $40.   Thursday night features an expansion of truck and tractor pulls from year’s past.  Jereemy Wagler and Wagler Diesel will be on hand Thursday night. There’s country entertainment on stage Friday and Saturday.  High Valley on Friday and Tracey Lawrence on Saturday.  Both are nationally known recording artists.  Also r admission on the grounds includes a free carnival and rides provided by Shortline Amusements.

          The White River Valley Antique show will also be in full steam Thursday thru Sunday at the Daviess County Fairgrounds in Elnora. Thousands of people will be in town to walk the grounds and enjoy a trip back in time to see antique tractors, trucks, farm equipment and more. There’s flea markets, food vendors and lots to see and do.

          Washington High School will celebrate Homecoming on Friday night as they battle county rival North Daviess at Hatchet Hollow in high school football. The parade on Main is at 5pm, tailgate party at the field at 6:00pm and the big game will follow.

        Chandelier Barn Market Fall show is this coming weekend too!

          And your Treasure Hunt Jackpot on Main Street in downtown Washington Saturday night is a new record the most ever given away.. $1,996,000. The drawing is Saturday night at 7pm.
