An investigation into illegal dumping in Dubois County has led to a child molesting arrest.

Dubois County and Huntingburg officers went to a Geiger Street home in Huntingburg Thursday after a complaint about illegal dumping.  The officers learned that 30-year-old Josh Fuller of Valparaiso was in the home and determined he was wanted for Level 4 Child Molestation in Porter County, Indiana.  When police tried to detain him, he ran out of the back of the residence and headed southwest.

Multiple officers from several agencies assisted in a foot chase.  Fuller was eventually found hiding in a 55 gallon barrel behind an East 4th Street Huntingburg residence.  He resisted officer’s commands and a K9 had to be used in apprehending him.    He received minor injuries from the police dog and was treated by EMS on scene and then booked into the Dubois County Jail for Resisting Law Enforcement and the Porter County warrant.
