Barr- Reeve School Superintendent Travis Madison is leaving Viking Country. Madison told the school board in an executive session meeting that he’s taken a job in Monroe County at the Richland-Bean Blossom School Corporation.
His last day at Barr- Reeve is September 17th.
Madison told the Washington Times Herald (www.washtimesherald.com) the decision was bittersweet, he just feels ready for a new challenge. Richland Bean-Blossom is a 3000 student corporation opposed to Barr- Reeve’s 1000. Madison says he’ll probably work with Barr-Reeve on the transition as the system is beginning a 12 million dollar construction project.
He adds he’s planning on staying in the area and commuting to Monroe County.
