Mary Ruth Alford, 85, of Washington, Indiana passed away August 27, 2018 in Washington. Born October 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Samuel D. and Flossie (Moore) LaForce.
She attended school in Brazil, Indiana. She worked for Amour Foods for over 25 years.
She is survived by her Special Companion, Clarence “Slim” Selby Jr.; Two Sons, Kenneth R. LaForce and George E. Alford; A Daughter Rene Alford – Howard; A Special Grandson, Cody Howard; 5 Grandchildren, and 15 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a Son, Victor Alford, 2 Sisters and 4 Brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, August 31, 2018 in Gill Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, and Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at; www.gillsince1872.com.
