Michael J. Bledsoe, 71, of Loogootee, passed away at 3:00 AM on Thursday August 23, 2018, at his home.
He was born on June 28, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio to Vernon and Wilma (Thompson) Bledsoe.
Mike was baptized Catholic and attended church at St. Martin in Whitfield. He was a life long truck driver and part business owner/president of Bonnie Leasing. Mike married Patricia Kay (Tolbert) Wilcoxen Bledsoe on March 23, 1978. He had a love for animals and had several dogs throughout his life; Ozzy boy, Doc, Harley, Turbo, and FeFe.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Wilma, and his aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife Pat (Tolbert) Wilcoxen Bledsoe, his children; Scott (Christie Burris) Wilcoxen and Tom Bledsoe, his grandchildren; Chase, Cade, Conner, and Cacia, his siblings; David (Debbie) Bledsoe, Brenda (George) Bledsoe, and Richard (Nancy) Bledsoe, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 12 noon on Monday August 27, 2018 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
