Knox County Sheriff Mike Morris has taken to social media to recognize one of his deputies.
Morris, on Facebook, reports that it was back on August 16th when Deputy Dan Short was on duty as an SRO at South Knox Middle/High. Short responded to a medical emergency when a student was in cardiac distress. The student was revived and taken to the hospital in Vincennes.
Morris says the citizens of Knox County are extremely lucky to have such a highly trained deputy in the schools. He added the life saving effort was a team effort and offered prayers and good wishes to the student and family involved.
