Mike Drust, 90, passed away at 5:10 am on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. Mike was born on July 27, 1928 in Royalton, IL the son of John and Anna Drust. He married Beverly Johnson and they were married for fifty- four years until her passing on August 28, 2008.
Mike served his country in the United States Army with the 351st Infantry. He was a foreman for R and L Spring, a member of Temple Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and model trains.
Survivors include his daughter Cheryl Elliott of Washington; son Michael Drust and his wife Debbie of Charles Town, WV; sister Celia Krawzak of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Thomas Ireland, Benjamin Drust, Heather Armstrong, Mikayla Drust; great grandchildren, Caleb Ireland, Emma Ireland, Mikey Armstrong, Cole Drust, and Lucy Armstrong. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, and two brothers.
Friends may visit with Mike’s family from 4-8 pm on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN. Mike’s funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Diehl officiating. Entombment will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
