The first official day for teachers and staff and Washington Community Schools will be tomorrow with students reporting on Friday. A couple of special guest speakers will be in town tomorrow to talk to staff to kick off the new year. Rick Miller the founder of Kids of Hope will be in Washington with his special guest Antwon Fisher who was the subject of the Denzel Washington movie released in 2002. The program for teachers will begin at 8am tomorrow morning. Fisher will then be treated to a special dinner tomorrow night with local community leaders. With the start of school this week. please be on the look out for students and busses as the new year begins.
