Estel Mae Schnarr, 91, of Washington, entered into eternal heaven at 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born on May 30, 1927 in Washington, Indiana to the late John and Maude (Taylor) Berry.
Estel spent many years working along side her husband on the family farm. She then became assistant manager of K-Mart in Washington. After she retired she enjoyed going to Florida for the winter months, spending time with her family, playing cards, reading, and was a member of Veale Creek Church.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph “Joe” (Lois) Schnarr of Washington, and Donald “Squeak” (Judy) Schnarr of Jasper; her grandchildren, Jeff Schnarr, Melanie Schnarr, Jamie Schnarr, Scott (Melissa) Schnarr, Michelle (Brian) Lemon, Abby (Andrew) Kennedy, Katy (Gage) Beck, Jackie (Gary) Reed, Brent (Angie) Bowman, Brad (Samantha) Bowman; 19 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Leland Schnarr; two sons, James (Karen) Schnarr, and Ronald G. Schnarr; two grandchildren, Kristena Jo Schnarr, and Douglas Schnarr; and three siblings, John Berry, Bertha Harker, and Mary Shelton
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery of Reeve Township. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery of Reeve Township.
