Fair in Martin County, 4H Show in Washington and Wheatfest continue

WHEATFEST

The annual Wheatfest is going on in Wheatland today.

        This morning is a biscuit and gravy breakfast at the shelter house from 7 to 10.   Free eye screenings for kids takes place 9:30 to 11:30.  Barrel rides and inflatables are also part of the fun tomorrow, along with a car and tractor show 10 to 3 at the Wheatland Christian Church parking lot.

        That’s just some of the activities.

 MARTIN COUNTY FAIR

        The Martin County Fair is underway. The commercial building opens at 9 and there’s a Beef show at 9 and a  Rabbit show at 1.  A robotics demonstration takes place at 11 on the stage. There’s a Lawn Tractor Driving Contest at 4pm and Farm Tractor Pulls and Truck pulls in the arena tonight at 7.  The carnival runs 6 to 10.

        The commercial building will be open tomorrow at noon and there’s a poultry show at 2, a health fair 2 to 5.  Registration for a kiddie tractor pulls is at 3 with the pull scheduled for 4. There’s a goat show at 5 a baby show at 6.  The carnival is open tomorrow from 6 to 10.

 DAVIESS COUNTY 4H

        The Daviess County 4H show is gong on at East Side Park.  There’s a horse and pony show at 8:30 this morning. The show gets into full swing next week.  4H member Wes Richardson gives us a rundown..

        Tomorrow, Sunday the exhibit building is open 7pm to 9-pm.
