The annual Wheatfest is going on in Wheatland today and tomorrow.
It’s put on by the local Lions Club and raises money for the park. The annual chicken noodle dinner kicks things off from 4:30 to 6:30. The shelter house at the park features live music from Memory Lane tonight 7 to 10pm. The Lions Club’s homemade ice cream is available and other food.
Tomorrow morning is biscuit and gravy breakfast at the shelter house from 7 to 10. Free eye screenings for kids takes place 9:30 to 11:30. Barrel rides and inflatables are also part of the fun tomorrow, along with a car and tractor show 10 to 3 at the Wheatland Christian Church parking lot.
