Motorist didn’t stop for officer and is arrested

-Washington Police attempted to make a traffic stop on East Van Trees just before midnight last night, however the motorist did not stop right away.   The driver, later identified as  Blaine Eveland, 33 of Washington, continued driving past Northeast  3rd then went East on Walnut from 3rd, then north on North Meridian and then apparently stopped at Meredith Street North of Jefferson..  Eveland was charged with Operating While Intoxicated with Refusal, Possession of Marijuana and Resisting Law Enforcement with a vehicle.  No bond was set. 

-Also, overnight, The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Jasper man  for Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment and for a Home Detention Violation. No bond was set for 28-year-old Dumelson Garcon.

 -A Washington man was charged with Driving While Suspended with a prior yesterday.  23-year-old Johnathan Ahlert’s arrest was the result of a traffic stop at 4:21 at Southwest 4th and West National Highway yesterday.

-37-year-old Phillip Paul of Plainville was arrested on Thursday on several charges.  He was booked into the security center for Operating While Intoxicated with a Controlled Substance and with Endangerment, Possession of Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  No bond was set.   City Police reports show that Paul was jailed after a traffic stop in the Wal-Mart Parking lot at just after 5 last night.

-Conservation Officers arrested 44-year-old Justin Raymann of Washington for Operating While Intoxicated and Operating While Intoxicated with Refusal.  No bond was set.

-A traffic stop at Southwest 5th and West National Highway at 7:15 last night resulted in charges against 27-year-old Justin Warne of Washington.  He was booked into the security center for  Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance.   Bond was posted.

-Dave Armstrong, 48 of Washington was served an arrest warrant for a Petition to Revoke a suspended Sentence for Felony Intimidation and Possession of Marijuana.  Bond was set at $25,000.  City Police and the Sheriff’s Department served the warrant at 8:34 last night.  Armstrong was found hiding in an attic and was taken into custody without incident.

-A Knox County woman was jailed in Washington for Driving While Suspended with a Prior.  Bond was posted for 35-year-old Melody Montgomery of Wheatland.

-Loogootee Police report they took in 58-year-old George D. Ringen of Indianapolis in the wee hours of the morning today.  He’s charged with Driving While Suspended with a Prior and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  He was also found to be wanted on two warrants.  He was taken to the Martin County Jail.  Martin County and Indiana State Police assisted in the arrest.

-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department received a call from the area of 400-East and 225 South at just before 5 yesterday.  The report was of an accident involving a vehicle that had flipped over and a woman was inside.  A few minutes later, authorities were told the woman was out of the vehicle, alert, conscious and talking. She was taken to the emergency room.
