It’s shaping up to be one of the biggest fundraising races ever held in Daviess County.
The Kendall Murphy 5k/10k Walk/Run is Saturday in Montgomery. It is in memory and honor of Murphy, a local firefighter who died in the line of duty.

Those comments were made a few days ago, so that number is likely higher today.
The 5k and 10k run/walk is a fundraiser for a scholarship program for Montgomery kindergartners called a 529 Scholarship Fund. It’s a $100 gift to start a college fund.
