John Andrew Chiappa, 64, passed away at 6;42 pm on May 16, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. John was born on November 15, 1953 in St. Louis, Mo the son of Andrew and Carol Lee (Fairris) Chiappa. He married Beulah “Bo” Osborn and she survives.
John started his career with PSI and performed many duties with the company. He later became operator at Duke Energies gasification plant in Wheatland. He was a member of the Patoka Masonic Lodge #450, he loved playing music, especially his guitars, and was a member of the Gray Seals Band as well as many other bands. John also loved his motorcycle and his vehicles.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah “Bo” Chiappa of Vincennes; his father and step-mother, Andrew and Elva Chiappa of Granite City, IL; daughter, Adrianna Robinson and her husband Jack of Vincennes; brothers, Jim Chiappa of Granite City, IL, Joe Chiappa of Grafton, IL; sister, Donna Cassmeyer of Highhill, MO; grandchildren, Ivan and Lola Robinson; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services for John will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St. with Brother Joe Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with John’s family on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 1-4 pm at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:30 am until the hour of service time of 10:30 am.
