Kathleen J. (Albrecht) Barker, 88, of Vincennes, passed away at 9:00 am Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born June 13, 1929 in Knox County, Indiana to Walter and Hulda Albrecht.
Kathleen was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She retired as a secretary and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing.
Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Barker, whom she married on December 20, 1947; her children David and Georgia Barker of Columbia, TN, Randy Barker and his friend Brenda Dalton of Vincennes, Christine and John Myers of Bicknell, Daryn and Laura Barker of Floyd Knobs, IN; a sister, Doris Daugherty of New Lebanon, IN; her grandchildren, Sarah and Joe Pickering, Sam and Christine Barker, Jill and Mike Carnahan, Amanda and Christian Le Faure, Bryan and Emily Myers, Shayne Myers, Daniel and Hannah Barker, and Ashlyn Barker; along with 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Rita Darlene Barker; a daughter in-law. Denise Barker; and a sister. Ruth Virginia Albrecht.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
