On the morning of May 6, 2018, Anna Louise “Lou” (Traylor) Myers passed peacefully from this earth to be with her heavenly father and her husband, Alan Myers.

Anna Lou was 87 years old and is preceded in death by Alan, her husband of 68 years; her parents, Pauline and Bennie Traylor; and brother Edward Traylor. Anna Lou leaves behind two sons, Steve and Larry; two daughters-in-law, Clara and Debbie; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, along with brothers Donald Joe and Jim Traylor.

Anna Lou grew up in Montgomery, Indiana, moving to West Lafayette in 1950 after her marriage to Alan. When Alan returned from the Korean War, they set up home outside of Plainville on the family farm. After a few years on the farm and the birth of Steve, Anna Lou and Alan moved to Richmond, Indiana. It was here that Alan went to work for Ralston Purina and Larry was born. In 1964 the family moved to Lexington, Kentucky, to raise their family, where Anna Lou and Alan remained for 50 years. It was during that time that Anna Lou worked and eventually retired from McAlpins. In 2014 Anna Lou and Alan moved back to Washington, Indiana, to be closer to family, as Anna Lou began showing symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. Anna Lou’s passions in life were her husband and family.

Visitation will be at St. Peter Church in Montgomery, Indiana, on Friday, May 11, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m.
