Pick up driver dies on I64

I64 in Warrick County was shut down Sunday for 4.5 hours after a semi hit a pickup.

        Indiana State Police say it happened at 6:40 local time near the 32.5 mile marker.

        Before the crash, Warrick County Central Dispatch had receiving 2 calls about a white Ford truck stopped for unknown reasons in the travel portion of the interstate. 

        The preliminary investigation reveals that the pickup was parked in the emergency shoulder and for an unknown reason pulled out into the path of the semi.  The 2017 Freightliner hit the 2012 truck in the rear.  It hit the guardrail and came to rest in the passing lane.  The driver, 55-year-old Patrick McNeeley of Fountaintown was ejected, and pronounced dead at the scene.  He was from Shelby County

        The semi driver, 48 year old Ricky Isham of Lancaster, Kentucky was not injured.
