Petersburg Police reported yesterday that there was an early morning chase Friday through 4 counties.
Corporal Jarrod Simmons tried to stop a car in Petersburg for speeding. That’s when 34-year-old Christopher Nelson of Terre Haute sped away. He reached speeds of 100 miles an hour and rammed police vehicles during the 4 county, 32 mile chase. Police say he was captured and taken to the Pike County Jail on a $35,000 bond.
He’s charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving, Criminal Recklessness and Driving While Suspended.
