A good crowd on hand for Sheriff Debate

Budget, policy procedures, drug crimes and law, gun permits and the experience they both have were all touched on by the two candidates running for Daviess County Sheriff at a debate last night presented and produced by WAMW.  Deputies Gary Allison and Troy Fuhs both commented on the current state of the department and how they might change things if elected…

Both also answered questions about experience they believe they have on operating budgets and overseeing all aspects of the sheriff’s department….

In the end both men greeted each other warmly and laughed together and met with their supporters.  The winner of next Tuesday’s election will move on to the fall General Election, and unless someone enters the race on another political ticket before then, the winner next Tuesday will be the new sheriff in 2019.
