(photo from Washington Times Herald) Ground was broken for the first hotel at the Westgate@Crane Technology Park yesterday.
Mike Hicks is the hotel’s owner. He also owns the Comfort Suites and Legend of French Lick.
The new facility will be 72 units and combines a Sleep In which caters to guests planning for shorter stays and a Mainstay Hotel for those staying longer. Both are brandings of Choice International Hotels. It will have an indoor pool, business and fitness centers, free Wi-Fi and offer complementary breakfast.
The Washington Times Herald quotes Hicks as saying the hotel is conveniently lcocated and will serve anyone from government employees to families traveling for local athletic tournaments.
The hotel will take about 11 months to build.
