(NETWORK IN) There was an accidental shooting of a pregnant woman by her 3-year-daughter in Northwestern Indiana. It happened yesterday afternoon in the Plato’s Closet Parking Lot in Merrillville, according to the Times of Northwest Indiana. Police say the woman’s boyfriend was inside the store when the little girl picked up a gun he left in the car and pulled the trigger shooting Shaneque Thomas in the stomach! Thomas is pregnant and was taken to the hospital. Officers haven’t said how she’s doing. Her boyfriend has been taken into custody and could face child endangerment charges.
