The Bicknell Board of Public Works and Safety has voted to put Police Lt. Kevin Carroll on unpaid leave pending the outcome of a an Official Misconduct allegation.

Carroll was arrested last week by the Indiana State Police and FBI task force for allegedly almost compromising a drug investigation.  Investigators say Lt. Carroll put officers at risk in sharing sensitive information with a Daviess County resident about undercover drug operations. Carroll is charged with Official Misconduct and Criminal Recklessness.

The Vincennes Commercial says it was almost exactly a year ago when Carroll  was suspended for 15 days in light of an alleged confidentiality violation stemming from a complaint Bicknell city officials received from the Indiana Department of Child Services’ Knox County location.
