Harvey L. Candler, Jr. 78, of Nashville, IL, and formerly of Fritchton, IN, passed away April 4, 2018 at Friendship Manor Health Center.
Harvey had worked as a pressman for the Vincennes Sun Commercial. He started there in 1958, and retired in 1989.
Born July 7, 1939, in Vincennes, he was the son of Harvey, Sr. and Ellen (Erickson) Candler. His parents; his son, William Candler; his sister, Sandra Fredrick; and his brother, Lawrence Candler, preceded him.
Surviving are his children, Ricky Candler, Sr. of Vincennes, Clint Candler and his wife, Ruth, of Brunswick, Maine, and Kevin Candler and his wife, Lynne, of Mascoutah, IL; his grandchildren, Ricky Candler, Jr., Susi Candler, Nicole Candler, Ariana Candler, Brett Candler, Eric Candler, Jacob Candler, and Madison Candler; his great-grandchildren, Jonathon Candler, Leland Candler, Talia Small, Dustin Candler, Nathan Adams, Cali Candler, Dalton Cary, Macy Hooten, and Elizabeth Candler; his sister Doris Cockren and her husband, Lowell; and his brothers, Randall Candler and his wife, Mary, and Ronald Candler and his wife, Barbara.
Friends may visit with Harvey’s family from 11:00 – 12:00 on Saturday, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
