Darrell Dewayne ‘Matt’ Fish, 69, of Elnora, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Washington, Indiana. He was born on February 27, 1949 in Daviess County, Indiana to James Delmar Fish, Sr. and Clara Beatrice (Edmondson) Fish. Matt shared his life with a special friend, Nancy Pearson.
Matt was a Daviess County employee, retiring in 2015. He was a member of the Frank Roberts VFW Post #9627, Elnora American Legion Post #245 and Bicknell French Club. Matt loved his dog, Cooter, hunting and helping people out. He also enjoyed driving his Mule RTV.
Survivors include: special friend, Nancy Pearson; his daughter, Kimberly Dawn (Don) Perry of Wyola, MT; granddaughter, Deena Perry; two brothers, James Delmar (Barbara) Fish, Jr. of Odon and David Lee (Derenda) Fish of Elnora.
Matt was preceded in death by: his parents; one sister, Patricia Lou Ann Wade and one brother, Donald Kerry Fish.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Adam Cissell officiating. Matt will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Elnora following a service by the VFW Post #9627 honoring his dedication and help over the years.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
