Commissioners open bids for security upgrade at the jail

        The Daviess County Commissioners opened bids for upgrading the security systems at the Daviess County Security Center today.

        Chief Deputy Gary Allison explains the work that needs done..

      

        The bids received were from Security Automations Systems from Indianapolis for $346,000 with a completion time of 300 days…and from Stanley Security of Fishers, Indiana with for a price of $371,000 with a  completion time of 180 days.   The bids were taken under advisement and a decision on which bid to accept will be made at a later once all the specifics have been studied.

        Also at today’s Commissioners meeting, letters of resignation from Daviess County Airport Manager Jack Miles and Airport Board of Aviation Director Eric Sievers were accepted.     Sievers will be taking over as the new manager.
